Alison Boman a soon to graduate senior from Corner Canyon High School in Draper Utah has signed her National Letter of Intent to play soccer at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs WY.
Alison plays a couple of positions well on the soccer pitch. She has been used by her coaches as a center defensive mid, as a defender - mainly as a center back. We at Western Wyoming were impressed in seeing her play with her tenacity and skill at all of these positions and know that she will make an impact for us in one or all of these positions in the next couple of years.
Boman was part of a great high school program with Corner Canyon. The Chargers won the UHSAA 5A State Soccer Championship in 2018. Due to their success on the field this CCHS team was named to the 14th Annual MaxPreps Tour of Champions in 2018. On an individual basis Alison was a part of the Utah 5A All State Honorable mention team for her senior year.
Beside playing for the CCHS Chargers, Alison also has played on comp teams. She has been playing competitive soccer for over ten years. She is currently playing with Sparta Premier '01 which is at a P1 and DPL level. Much like her time with her high school team, Alison and her club teams have also had success. Most recently they were crowned champions of the Mayor's Cup in Las Vegas in the spring of 2019.
Much like the other players we have already added to the WWCC team for the coming years, Boman is an excellent student. She has maintained a very high GPA of 3.75 throughout her high school career. She has been recognized on the Honor Roll every quarter of her high school career also. At Western, Alison would like to focus her studies in the major of Psychology.
Western is very excited to add Alison Boman to the team. She will provide a great work rate, a calming influence on the field and a friendly face to this group of girls. We hope Alison can continue to win both team and individual awards while she is a Mustang. Congratulations Alison.
