Hayden Rupe a senior from Bonneville High School has signed her National Letter of Intent to play college soccer at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs Wyoming.
Hayden Rupe was a three-year letter recipient for Bonneville High School Soccer, as well as a four-year letter recipient in softball. Additionally, Hayden was chosen as “Athlete of the Week” during her junior year. Hayden was an attacking player for the Lady Lakers, scoring 8 goals in her time with BHS. Hayden was a key player in creating offensive opportunities for her team. She was a part of the Lady Lakers team that won their region three years in a row.
During her junior season, the Lady Lakers were
finalist in the 2017 4A UHSAA State Soccer Championships. In the 2018 season Rupe and the BHS soccer team advanced to the 4A Quarterfinals.
Hayden has maintained a 3.8 GPA in high school and plans to study Psychology at WWCC.
Hayden has played comp soccer for Sparks and currently plays for Nitro. Hayden is thankful for all of the friendships that she has formed between the two teams. Hayden would like to thank her coach from Sparks, Tom Thoits. Tom has been a great coach, mentor, and is the reason she is still playing soccer. Hayden would like to thank her current coach, Chris Simmons, from Nitro for this past year. Chris has supported Hayden with her aspirations to play in college and has created the opportunity for her to fulfill this dream.
Hayden would like to thank her mother for her unconditional love and support throughout her soccer and softball career. She says, “I couldn’t have done it without my Mom.” Hayden is excited for the opportunity to continue her soccer career and to make new friendships with all the sports teams in Western Wyoming.
Hayden enjoys long walks on the beach of Utah with her dogs that are commonly mistaken for bears. She loves to laugh with her friends and having dance parties where she can get down to any beat. Hayden enjoys skateboarding, painting, and decorating her hydro flask with stickers.
