The Mustangs played one of their best matches of the 2018 season. LCCC scored first in the match when they beat Markell Freeman, the WWCC keeper on the day, in the 25th minute. LCCC gave the Mustang some fits with their attacking play and their corner kicks in the first half. The score at the break was LCCC 1 and WWCC 0.
After the halftime break WWCC played a much better overall match. Maylee Thompson intercepted a ball from a LCCC defender in the 53rd minute and placed it in the bottom left corner past the LCCC keeper. LCCC added another goal to retake the lead in the 66th minute. Western Wyoming was pushing for a tying goal when they were countered and LCCC scored in the 75th minute to finish the scoring on the day. The final score was LCCC 3 and WWCC 0. The defeat brings the WWCC 2018 record to 1 - 4 - 0 and their Region IX North record to 1 - 1 - 0.
