Emma Barnes a soon to be sophomore at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs WY has signed her National Letter of Intent to play college soccer. Barnes is from Brigham City Utah.
As a freshman Emma was stellar on the field with 33 Shots, 4 Goals, 3 Assists, 17 Fouls, 19 Starts and 44 Halves played. The majority of her minutes were played in the midfield for the Mustangs. At the end of the season Emma was named to the 2nd Team All Region IX Team.
The winter of 2017 and spring of 2018 were a time to continue to improve skills and fundamentals for Barnes. Emma was able to score 1 goal during our spring scrimmages. Barnes showed again that she has a powerful shot from the outside and can distribute well all the while helping maintain possession for the team.
In the realm of academia, Barnes is also an all-star. Recently Emma was awarded an Academic All-Region recognition. She was part of the Dean's Honor Roll for the spring 2018 semester. Emma is on track to graduate from Western in May of 2019 with her Associates Degree.
