Claire Morales a graduate from Westlake High School in Saratoga Springs UT has signed her National Letter of Intent to play her second season of eligibility for Western Wyoming Community College.
Claire joined WWCC Soccer in the spring semester of 2017 and competed in the fall 2017 season. In the fall season Morales had 7 Shots, 1 Assist, 6 Fouls, 4 Starts and played in 48 halves. Claire played most of the fall season as a midfielder both a central midfielder and an outside midfielder.
Claire is one of the most dedicated and hardest working players on the team. She took advantage of every opportunity to improve her skills and maintain her fitness during the off-season months. The spring scrimmage season of 2018 was pay-off for the her work. Claire had 5 offensive points in the spring, which included 4 scrimmages. Morales scored 1 goal and had a 2018 spring WWCC team high of 3 assists.
Claire has done a good job with her studies to be on track to graduate from WWCC in December of 2018 with her Associates Degree.
Looking forward to 2018 and Claire's sophomore season we anticipate that she will add her influence onto the stat sheet of almost every match we play. She will most likely see more playing time in 2018 as an outside forward but she can provide her skills to the midfield also as she did in 2017. We know that this season will be great for Claire and the Mustangs.
