The Mustangs had a sluggish start but played well enough that the TSJC team had very few chances on the WWCC goal. Western did a good job of possessing in the attacking third of the field but were missing a final pass or a good shot on target. The halftime score was 0 to 0.
After the changes at halftime the Mustangs kept up their pressure and found the break through that they were looking for in the 48th minute when Maylee Thompson scored from a Yridian Cardenas assist. In the 59th minute Kenzie Lucas added another goal from an assist from Maylee Thompson. The WWCC team would hang on for a 2 to 0 win. The win improves the overall 2017 record to 11 - 7 - 0. Marking the most wins in WWCC regular season program history.
