On Tuesday in Ephraim UT the Western Wyoming Soccer team played versus the Snow College Lady Badgers. Snow College is a good team and is currently receiving votes as a top 20 NJCAA team.
It took Snow most of the half to break down the WWCC defense but once the defense was breached Snow did a great job of continuing to find ways to attack. Snow goals were scored in the 26th, 33rd, 39th and 44th minute of the first half. A lone WWCC goal came in the 43rd minute when Kenzie Lucas beat the Snow College keeper from a Madisyn Cantrell assist. The halftime score was Snow 4 and WWCC 1.
Snow did a great job of limiting the WWCC attack in the second half while continuing to find chances themselves. Snow added two goals in the second half, scoring in the 64th and 81st minutes. The final score was 6 to 1 in favor of Snow. The loss stopped a 5 match winning streak for the Mustangs. The 2017 WWCC record is now 7 - 5 - 0.
Mustang Valuable Player: Kenzie Lucas for her goal, just the 3rd goal Snow had allowed all season.
