On a very cold and rainy Saturday morning in Rock Springs' Crossroads Park the Western Wyo Mustangs hosted the #6 LCCC Lady Golden Eagles.
LCCC showed their depth, speed and strength by scoring four times in the first half. The LCCC goals came in the 13th, 23rd, 24th and 35th minutes. The Mustangs struggled to slow down the Golden Eagles and struggled to create any offense. The halftime lead was 4 to 0 for LCCC.
In the second half the LCCC attack continued and scored three more times, the goals coming in the 53rd, 64th and 68th minutes. Western was able to find some attack in the last 20 minutes and earned a Penalty Shot which was blocked by a great effort from the LCCC keeper. The final score was LCCC 7 and WWCC 0. The loss drops the WWCC record to 3 - 6 - 1 and the Region IX record to 2 - 3 - 1.
Mustang Valuable Player: Kenzie Lucas for playing until the end of the match and very a threat to the Golden Eagles all match long.
