In a Tough Match Eastern UT 1 goal better

On Saturday at Crossroads Park WWCC faced off against Eastern Utah in a very heated and well played match.

Eastern Utah scored first in the 25th minute but Western answered shortly after with a Madisyn Cantrell goal and a Kenzie Lucas assist.  In the 37th minute the Golden Eagles scored again to take a 2 to 1 advantage into the halftime break.

In the second half Eastern would again strike first in the 65th minute to take a two goal advantage.  In the 73rd minute Alyssia Lee would bring the Mustangs back to within 1 goal with another Kenzie Lucas assist.  No matter what WWCC changed or how hard they pushed to find that third goal there was just no luck for them.  The final score was CEU 3 and WWCC 2.  The Mustang record is now 1 - 1 - 0 for 2016.

Mustang Valuable Player: Vanesa Ramirez for being so consistent and solid as a defender for WWCC's back line.
