Mustangs Open 2016 with a Shutout and a Victory

 On Thursday the Western Women's team kicked off the 2016 season with an emphatic win against the Northeastern Junior College Lady Plainsmen at Crossroads Park in Rock Springs WY.

Alyssia Lee started the scoring for the Mustangs as she scored in the 8th minute with a Clarissa Barton assist.  Just 1 minute later Madisyn Cantrell scored a goal the assist going to Alyssia Lee.  The halftime lead for WWCC was 2 to 0.

In the second half NJC did a good job of slowing down the WWCC attack but Alyssia Lee was still able to convert on a Penalty Kick attempt and gave the Mustangs an insurmountable lead of 3 to 0.  The 3 goal win and the shutout improved the WWCC record to 1 - 0 - 0.
