The Mustangs started the 2016 fall scrimmage portion of their season by hitting the road first at Salt Lake City Utah versus SLCC.
In the first scrimmage of 2016 the WWCC Mustangs played against a very good SLCC Bruin team in Salt Lake. The first half was very rough for the young Mustangs as they were a little unnerved by the possession and pressure of SLCC. The halftime score was 2 - 0 for SLCC. In the second half the Mustangs would play better with more offense but not enough to put a ball into the net. SLCC added two more goals and would lead 4 to 0 at the end of the scrimmage.
The Mustangs are pretty healthy with all but 2 players getting their first official playing time of 2016.
Mustang Valuable Player: Jordan Gibson - one of the best debuts in WWCC Women's Soccer History.

Next the Mustangs traveled down to Henderson Nevada and had a scrimmage against the College of Southern Nevada.
The 2016 Mustangs again showed improvement in their second scrimmage of 2016 with the College of Southern Nevada Coyotes. CSN got on the board first with the opening goal. Western would match their one goal with a lucky richocet of a ball off of Clarissa Bartons leg into the CSN goal. Just when the scrimmage looked like it would be a draw a defensive breakdown for the Mustangs allowed an easy one on one situation for CSN who scored their second goal with just seconds left on the clock. The end score of the scrimmage was CSN 2 and WWCC 1.
Mustang Valuable Player: Clarissa Barton for her first career goal as a Mustang.
