Oregon Trip Helps Ready WWCC for Regular Season

Scrimmage number one of the trip to Oregon was the WWCC Mustangs going against the Treasure Valley CC Chukars.

TVCC started the scrimmage off with the scoring using the speed of their forwards to get behind the WWCC defense.  At the halftime break it was 3 to 0 in favor of TVCCC.  In the second half the Mustangs battled back, the scored two unanswered goals, first a Maya Perrin goal off of a corner kick and then a free kick goal from Kenzie Lucas.  The TVCC Chukars and the summer Oregon heat beat down the Mustangs and allowed TVCC to score three more goals to finish out the scrimmage and the Mustangs.  The score at the end of the scrimmage was TVCC 6 and WWCC 2.

The final scrimmage of the road trip and of the 2016 fall season was in Pendleton OR against the Blue Mountain CC Timberwolves.

In a record breaking day the Mustangs dominated the BMCC team.  The first WWCC goal was from Madisyn Cantrell in the 11th minute with an assist from Clarissa Barton.  Next in the 38th minute Clarissa Barton chipped the keeper.  The last goal of the first half was in the 40th minute when Clarissa Barton crossed it to Madisyn Cantrell.  The halftime score was 3 to 0 for WWCC.  Alyssia Lee got the scoring started in the 46th minute in the second half with an assist from Madisyn Cantrell.  The 5th goal came from Clarissa Barton in the 54th minute with another assist from Madisyn Cantrell.  The next goal was from Alyssia Lee in the 68th minute with a Kenzie Lucas assist.  The seventh goal of the match was scored by Clarissa Barton to complete her hat-trick after stealing the ball from a BMCC defender.  The final goal was scored by Madisyn Cantrell in the 87th minute to finish off her hat-trick.  The final score of the scrimmage was 8 to 0 in favor of WWCC.
