The Mustangs kicked off the 2016 fall season with their annual Alumni
Scrimmage. This reunites old teammates and lets the new players see the
players who started the Western Wyo tradition.Getting their first action as Mustangs were; Kenzie Lucas - Midfield, Jordan Gibson - Midfield, Jessica Arevalo - Defense, Britney Merritt - Midfield/Forward, Clarissa Barton - Midfield/Forward, Alyssia Lee - Forward, Rachel Mivshek - Defense, Brooke Foster - Forward/Defense, Madisyn Cantrell - Forward, Vanesa Ramirez - Defense and Jerris Jones - Defense. Starting off their sophomore campaigns were; Rylee Blacker - Keeper, Maya Perrin - Midfield, Maddie Case - Midfield, MKenzie Safford - Defense, Aly Sweet - Defense/Forward and Shantay Robinson - Midfield/Defense.
The 2016 Mustangs scored seven goals on the day. The 2015 Mustangs only scored 18 goals on their entire season. The scoring started with Britney Merritt, assisted by Clarissa Barton. Next goal was from Kenzie Lucas who got the ball from Alyssia Lee. The third goal and final goal of the first half was from Alyssia Lee who received the ball from Clarissa Barton. The halftime score was 3 to 0 in favor of the Mustangs.
After the break the offensive onslaught continued for the 2016 Mustangs. The next two goals were unassisted and scored by Madisyn Cantrell. The final goals of the match came from Jordan Gibson and Rylee Blacker. Rylee was put in as a forward with under ten minutes to go, giving time in the keeper position to Jerris Jones.
