Maya Perrin a rising sophomore at Western Wyoming has again inked her signature on a National Letter of Intent to play soccer at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs WY.
Perrin hails from Longmont CO and is a 2015 graduate from Silver Creek High. As a freshman at Western, Maya played a lot for the Mustangs. Her stats were; 3 shots, 7 fouls committed, 8 starts and played in 36 halves. As a freshman Maya played mainly as an outside midfielder but occasionally saw time as an attacking midfielder or even as a forward. She was named to the Dean's Honor Roll after the fall 2015 semester. Maya also earned an Academic All Conference award for her work in her classes as a freshman.
The spring 2016 scrimmage season helped Maya to develop her touch and passing accuracy. She showed a lot of improvement and determination. One of the best aspects of her game during this spring was her ability to connect with teammates through passing combinations.
As we look forward to fall 2016 season we expect Maya to continue to do a lot of work for the team as an outside midfielder. Her improved skills while help her do more than just be a strong midfielder. She should be a force on the outside in the attacking third. Opponents will need to keep note of her on the pitch. Welcome back Maya and good luck in the upcoming season.
