In one of their worst showings of the season the Mustangs struggled much of the match against Western Nebraska in Scottsbluff NE. Western Nebraska controlled much of the match and had a 2 - 0 half time lead after goals in the 14th and 31st minute.After the break the Mustangs changes to tactics were a mute point when WNCC scored quickly after the second half kickoff in the 46th minute. The Lady Cougars added insurance goals in the 84th and in the 89th minute. The lead at the end of 90 minutes was 5 - 0 in favor of Western Nebraska. It was a very hot day with humidity and several of the Mustang players did not fair very well with the hot conditions.
Mustang Valuable Player: Shantay Robinson - played very well out of position as an outside back. I very welcome addition to the depleted Mustang defense.
