Mustangs Feel Like They Let One Get Away

On Saturday the Mustangs tried to rebound from the loss the previous day while facing Trinidad State Junior College.

Unfortunately a slow start and an opponent goal put the Mustangs behind.  Trinidad scored in the 4th minute after a misstep from the WWCC defense.  The rest of the half was played mainly on the WWCC defense half due to the Mustangs inability to possess and the wind in their face.  The half time score was 1 - 0 in favor of TSJC.

A change of formation at the half and the wind at their back helped the Mustangs find much needed offense and shots on goal.  Sadly for WWCC none of the shots found the back of the net.  The Lady Trojan found an insurance goal in the 84th minute off of a free kick.  The loss puts the Mustang record at 3 - 5 - 1.

Mustang Valuable Player: Melia Dayley - back from head injury and a welcome addition to the Mustang Midfield and Attack.

Match Facts - Shots - WWCC 11, TSJC 19; Assists - WWCC 0, TSJC 1; Saves - WWCC 5, TSJC 4; Corner Kicks - WWCC 3, TSJC 7; Free Kicks - WWCC 9, TSJC 6; Cards - WWCC 0, TSJC 1
