On Saturday in Goodland KS the Mustangs played a return match to the Mavericks of Northwest Kansas Tech. The first half was good soccer from both teams but lacked some offensive punch. The score after 45 minutes was 0 - 0.
The second half was a different story with 6 goals being scored. The first goal was scored by WWCC in the 68th minute when Katelin Nielson scored off of an Aly Sweet assist. The second goal came soon after when Carolina Maestas assisted Aly Sweet in the 70th minute. The NWKTC Mavericks scored their first goal in the 72nd minute on a kick counter. Aly Sweet shut the door on any hope for the Mavericks when she scored her second goal in the 81st minute assisted by Maddie Case. Sweet completed her hat trick in the 85th minute off of an assist from Katelin Nielson. The final goal was from Odalis Hernandez in the 88th minute from another assist from Katelin Nielson. The final score was WWCC 5 - NWKTC 1. The win helped the Mustang's record to 3 - 3 - 1.
