Shantay Robinson a recent graduate from Star Valley High in Afton Wyoming has committed to play women's soccer for Western Wyoming Community College.
Shantay had a very successful career for the Lady Braves as in her senior season the SVHS Lady Braves were Wyoming Runners-up in the 2015 3A Soccer Cup.
Robinson was also voted as a 1st Team All-State Midfielder by the Wyoming Coaches Association. Shantay played most of her senior year as an outside midfielder.
Most who say Shantay play including the WWCC coaching staff are impressed by her toughness and hustle. She was one of the few players who consistently ran up and down the side lines for both offense and defense. She epitomizes what a true midfielder is - a combination of attacker and defender.
At Western we see her continuing her growth and success in the sport of soccer. She will most likely play as an outside midfielder for the Mustangs but we know that she has the ability as desire to succeed anywhere on the field for the Mustangs. Congratulations Shantay and good luck on the season and the start to your college academic career.
