Hunter High Brings Western Isabel Gutierrez

Isabel Gutierrez who graduated from Hunter High School in West Valley City UT has agreed to play play collegiate soccer at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs WY.

Isabel is a midfield player who played with the Lady Wolverines from Hunter High.  Although she and her HHS teammates did not find the success on the field that they wanted, they continued to improve and play as a team through the years.  Isabel tends to play more as an outside midfielder but we believe has the skills to transition to either a more central role in the midfield.  She appears to have the speed and the leg strength to also be able to help out the Mustangs as a defender or a forward if needed.

In the recruiting process we at Western were very impressed with the crossing ability of Isabel especially her corner kicks.  She has a knack to get between your mark and the goal and prevent those wide attacks from the opposition.  Gutierrez also has a big leg that help with long switching passes and defensive clears.

Here is to two great years wearing the colors of the Mustangs as Isabel starts her post secondary education and plays a vital role for her team and teammates.
