#17 Snow Beat Western Wyo Women

Photos from Stacie Simmons
On Monday, Labor Day afternoon the Mustangs hosted Snow College, one of the top NJCAA teams in the western USA.

Much like they had done for the majority of the matches and scrimmages they have had this year, the Mustangs played relatively tough for the first 15 minutes of play but something happens after that.  Snow College scored in the 17th and 20th minute of play in the first half.  The score at the break was Snow 2 and WWCC 0.

In the second half the Mustang offense could not muster much and continued to give up opportunities to the Lady Badgers.  Snow College scored again in the 72nd and 74th minute of play.  The final score for the match would be Snow 4 and WWCC 0.  The first official loss of the 2019 fall season for the Mustangs brings their overall record to 2 - 1 - 0.

Mustang Valuable Player: Hayden Rupe - Hayden had 2 shots, both on goal.  Rupe also showed great heart and hustle throughout the match.

Match Facts: Shots - WWCC 12, Snow 34; Assists - WWCC 0, Snow 3; Saves - WWCC 17, Snow 5; Corner Kicks - WWCC 0, Snow 8; Free Kicks - WWCC 4, Snow 4; Cards - WWCC 0, Snow 0

Up Next for the Mustangs: Tuesday September 3rd versus Northwest College at Rock Springs High School at 12:30pm
