Scoreless Draw Ends Scrimmage Season for WWCC

On Monday in Price UT the Mustangs played a neutral field scrimmage against the College of Southern Nevada Lady Coyotes.

On the day the Mustangs had a hard time finding the back of the net even though they had 17 shots on the day.  It was just one of those days were the timing was off or disrupted just enough.

The Mustang defense looked good only allowing 7 shots and keeping a shutout for the 90 minute scrimmage, both keepers - Lemmons and Kendrick both get credit for the shutout.

After 90 minutes on a very warm day in Price the score was 0 to 0.  Let's hope this scrimmage will help the Mustangs learn how to play good defense but help to identify what changes we need to be able to score goals.

Mustang Valuable Player:  Maylee Thompson played an outstanding scrimmage which included 4 shots on the day.  Was just inches away from scoring a couple of goals on the day.

Match Facts - Shots - WWCC 17, CSN 7; Assists - WWCC 0, CSN 0; Saves - WWCC 5, CSN 5 ; Corner Kicks - WWCC 5, CSN 1 ; Free Kicks - WWCC 10, CSN 10; Cards - WWCC 0, CSN 0

Up Next for the Mustangs: 1st Official Match of the Season - Tuesday August 22nd versus Utah State Eastern at 2pm in Price UT.
