Ryann Stassinos, who graduated from Riverton High School (Riverton WY) in the spring of 2016, has decided to continue to play college soccer at Western Wyoming Community College in 2017.
Ryann joined the WWCC spring soccer team in January of 2017. Stassinos worked out with the team during the winter months, lifting weights and playing futsal. In the spring she and the WWCC team starting training outside and participated in 4 scrimmages. She seemed to improve with each training session and every chance she played with the team.
In high school Ryann played soccer for the Lady Wolverines for 3 years and lettered all three years. She was a captain of her high school team her senior year. For RHS she mainly played as a center defensive mid, but she also found time as an outside midfielder.
Ryann was a great student in high school maintaining a high GPA and was on multiple RHS honor rolls. In her first semester at WWCC she again earned high marks and found herself on the Fall 2016 Dean's Honor Roll. She plans of continuing in the exercise science program at Western and will graduate with an Associates in Science. After she graduates from Western she would like to go into an athletic training program at a 4 year school.
Western is happy to add such a great student, person and soccer player to our roster in 2017. The addition of Ryann brings an added quality to our midfield and depth at not only our center midfield position but also our outside midfield positions.
