Abbie was a mainstay on the Mustangs from the start of the 2018 season. She played almost all of her minutes as a right back. In her freshman year she totaled; 10 Shots, 3 Assists, 5 Fouls, 25 Starts and 50 Halves Played. Abbie started every scrimmage and match of her first year wearing the Red, Black and White.
Abbie has done a fantastic job of putting her studies first, she is most definitely on track to graduate in May of 2020 with her Associate's Degree from WWCC. In her first full season Riley received an award for being on the Academic All Region Team and also for being 2nd Team Academic All American.
Abbie continued to play well in the spring scrimmage season for the Mustangs providing stability and an ability to attack from a wide defensive position. She has developed her leadership skills on the pitch and added onto her offensive capability.Western expects Abbie to continue her high level of play during her sophomore year and lead the Mustangs onto another chance to compete for a Region IX title and beyond.
