Jerris Jones who is ready to graduate from Filer High in Filer Idaho has signed a National Letter of Intent to play college soccer for the Mustangs of Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs WY.
As a member of the Filer High Wildcats Jerris earned the best defensive player of the year both her junior and senior seasons for the Filer Wildcats. During her season campaign in the fall of 2015 Jerris was named a member of the Girl's 3A High Desert Soccer League All-Conference Team.
Jerris not only played for FHS girl's soccer team but also has played in indoor soccer leagues. Jones was also a participant at the Boise State Soccer camp during the summer months.
At Western we see Jerris as a center defender for the Mustangs, someone who can come in and use her speed, quickness and athleticism to help the Western Wyoming defense to be a back line to be reckoned with. Jones came to Rock Springs during an indoor tryout in January and showed very well and was a tough defender not only by position and reading attacking players 1 v 1. We are sure that as a Mustang Jerris should have a wonderful career while fulfilling her first steps in her educational journey. Congrats to Jerris Jones a 2016 recruit from Western Wyoming Community College.
