The Mustangs were first on the board with a Brooke Foster goal, assisted by Kenzie Lucas. The Alumni would not be shutout and scored off of a corner kick against the Mustangs. The end of the first half was a tie score 1 to 1.
In the second half the Mustangs kept the attacking pressure on the Alumni back line and added two goals in the final 45 minutes. Madisyn Cantrell scored both goals for the Mustangs with both goals being assisted by Maylee Thompson. The Alumni were rewarded a penalty kick which they converted with no time left on the clock. The final score to the 2017 Alumni Scrimmage was Mustangs 3 and Alumni 2.
Sophomores who suited up again for the Mustangs were; Kenzie Lucas, Jessica Arevalo, Britney Nisson, Kelsey Moffitt, Brooke Foster, Madisyn Cantrell and Vanesa Ramirez.
Freshmen who got their first action for the Mustangs were; Claire Morales, Jaden Auger, Jaclyn Edwards, Tessa Herbert, Maylee Thompson, MaKayla Barnes, Kaitlyn Pryor, Emma Barnes, Yridian Cardenas, Madeline Kendrick, Ryann Stassinos and Lindsey Lemmons.
Mustang Valuable Player: Brooke Foster for the opening goal and great hustle every minute she was on the field.
