Kassidee Jeppesen who recently graduated from Newcastle High in Newcastle WY has decided to become part of the Western Wyoming Community College soccer team.
Kassidee was a member of the NHS varsity soccer team all four years of her career. During that tenure she and her NHS teammates made the 3A WHSAA State tournament in 2016 and 2019. Jeppesen was a team captain for the Dogies her junior and senior years. During the 2019 spring season, her senior year, Kassidee scored a goal for Newcastle. At the end of this season Kassidee was name to the 1st Team 3A East All Conference Team and to the 1st Team 3A All State Team.
Besides the soccer team, Kassidee was part of the NHS student council for two years. She participated in the science fair for two years as well. Jeppesen lettered in swimming during her senior year of high school. Also in her final year at NHS Kassidee was awarded the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) for Aspirations in Computing.
Kassidee is a defender, who primarily played as a center back for her high school team. Kassidee is a great fit for WWCC both on and off of the field. We are excited to see her growth as a person and a soccer player in the next couple of years. Congrats Kassidee you will do great things at WWCC.
